RemotEye is the ideal DICOM viewing add-on for
any web-based PACS software.
A web-based PACS is typically made up of several software components:
Server
software applications able to manage DICOM requests coming
from DICOM modalities and workstations, including Image Storage
requests, Query-Retrieve requests, Modality Worklist requests,
etc.
Storage
database, where all information related to stored Patients,
Studies, Series, Images is kept.
User
web interface, allowing PACS users to access and browse
(also remotely) the information stored in the database, depending
on rights granted to each user.
Web-based
medical image viewer, allowing PACS users to display
(also remotely) the medical images related to specific patients
and studies. The web-based image viewer normally is integrated
inside the web interface, and can be easily called by the user.
Common web-based medical image viewers only support basic image
display and manipulation functionalities.
RemotEye
can be effectively and easily integrated as the web-based
medical image viewer in most types of Web-based PACS.
Adopting RemotEye as the web-based medical image viewer means
having image viewing and manipulation capabilities comparable
with the ones available on a DICOM diagnostic workstation, inside
a common web browser.
